The Shanghai Museum, in collaboration with Star Plus Legend Holdings Ltd. recently unveiled “The Remarkable Ancestors — CHOUCHOU’s Time Travel Adventure,” a groundbreaking art show that introduces “CHOUCHOU,” the official nijigen-style personality of Mandopop superstar Jay Chou, into a national-level museum for the first time. Through digital technology, the exhibition offers a fresh interpretation of China’s cultural heritage.

The pop-up event, timed to overlap with the 2025 Shanghai Tourism Festival and Chou’s local concerts, strings six landmark sites, land-water-air experiences and cross-brand collaborations to transform Shanghai into a romantic “pink ocean” - the signature color of the “Chou Chou” IP.

With a theme of "looking for outstanding Chinese individuals around the world," and highlighting overseas Chinese who have made remarkable contributions across various fields, a Chinese TV show has vividly shed light on the diversity and strength of Chinese identity in a globalized world.
